CLLC Schedule Now Available!

Virginia International University’s School of Education is pleased to announce that the schedule for our Conference on Language, Learning, and Culture (CLLC) is now available online! Please click to see the overview of events and the presentation and workshop schedule.

Early registration for the CLLC is open through February 28, 2014!
$10 for students
$30 for non-students

Strands of concurrent talks will focus on the following seven areas:

Technology in the language classroom
Instructed SLA
Arabic linguistics and language learning
Teacher education
Multilingual and immersion education
Cross-cultural differences and integrated culture in the classroom
Literacy and multiliteracies

We are also honored to host 3 distinguished plenary speakers:

Dr. Terrence G. Wiley, President and CEO of the Center for Applied Linguistics
speaking on the multilingual heritage and contemporary linguistic diversity in the US

Dr. Shelley Wong, Professor at George Mason University and past President of TESOL
speaking on student advocacy and empowerment

Dr. Ken Petersen, Technical Director of Online Learning and Assessment for American Councils for International Education
speaking on innovations in technology for the modern classroom
